Undergraduate Scholarships

RWH Hawken Scholars
The RWH Hawken Scholars program emulates Professor Hawken’s vision of the complete engineer needing a combination of wide ranging experience and cultured insights coupled with academic excellence. All high achieving students are invited to apply for a UQ Academic Excellence Scholarship, and when enrolling in the Bachelor of Engineering, successful applicants will become a RWH Hawken Scholar.

Vice Chancellor Scholarships 
Valued at $12,000 per year for up to 5 years, these scholarships will be automatically awarded to scholarship applicants who achieve a result which places them at the very top of the OP1 (or equivalent) band.

UQ Excellence Scholarships
Valued at $6,000 per year for up to 4 years, these scholarships will be awarded to OP 1 (or equivalent) applicants who, during their senior studies,  have demonstrated outstanding academic excellence and/or exceptional leadership achievements and/or significant community or volunteering service.  

UQ Merit Scholarships
Valued at $6,000 in the first year of study, these scholarships will be awarded to high-achieving applicants. Students expecting to achieve an OP1-5 (or equivalent rank) are encouraged to apply.  Exceptional leadership capabilities and/or significant community service will be considered in the selection process.  The University will aim to award these scholarships across a range of study areas.

QR Scholarships
You will receive guaranteed paid vacation work in Queensland, progressive career development and training, the use of first-class technology and systems, and guaranteed employment on completion of your degree.    QR National offers scholarships to students who demonstrate outstanding commitment to excellence in their chosen field of study.    Accepting a QR National Scholarship will mean you receive a scholarship grant each semester to spend on university fees, text books, rent, or even a holiday - it's your choice!

Department of Main Roads Scholarships
A Transport and Main Roads Scholarship essentially provides living, study and incidental expense allowances, paid employment during university holiday periods and a full-time job with us once you've completed your studies.

UQ Equity Scholarships
A number of general scholarships are available for students who are experiencing financial hardship including UQ-Link Scholarships, Indigenous Access Scholarships, and Commonwealth Scholarships.

BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance University Scholarship Program
BMA offers scholarships to students who are current tertiary studentswho are currently tertiary students may apply for the scholarships. Applicants must apply for entry to study full time in 2011 in one of the categories of degree courses, related to mining, at one of the Universities, described in the section above.  See web site for more details.

UQ Link Acess Scholarships
The UQ-Link Access program provides assistance to Year 12 students who have experienced educational disadvantage due to financial hardship. Approved UQ-Link Access students will receive 5 bonus points (on a scale of 1-99) to assist them with entry to their chosen UQ program and will also be considered for one of 60 UQ-Link Access Scholarships valued at $3000 per year for up to four years. All approved UQ-Link Access students will also receive a $500 start-up bursary to assist with the costs of starting university once they have enrolled in UQ courses.

International Student Scholarships
Scholarships are available specifically to international students for various countires and disciplines.

UQ Graduate School Scholarships
A number of scholarships are available for postgraduate study.

JASON Postgraduate Scholarship Database
JASON is a postgraduate scholarship search engine. Scholarships in the database apply to Australian students wishing to study at home or abroad, and to international students wishing to study in Australia.

Australia Awards A variety of educational, research and professional development opportunities are available through the two Australia Awards streams: Achievement (Endeavour awards) and Development (AusAID awards)
