Direct Entry scheme into UQ programs for students of Aerospace Gateway Schools

The Aerospace Gateway Schools Direct Entry scheme enables direct entry for Year 12 students into the following programs at The University of Queensland:

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Bachelor of Information Technology

In years to date, the partnership has enabled many talented students to gain entry to Aerospace-related programs at The University of Queensland, providing them with a strong foundation for careers in the aerospace industry.

Key points:

  • A total of 25 direct entry places are available under the Aerospace Gateway Schools scheme

  • Students require HAs in five subjects to be eligible

  • Students are not required to have studied Aerospace-related material at school, however they must meet the prerequisites for the program/s to which they are applying

  • Students interested in enrolling in the Bachelor of Engineering are eligible for all specialisations e.g. civil engineering, not just Aerospace-related specialisations

  • Applications must be endorsed by the School Principal and mailed to Education Queensland’s Head of Department, Aerospace Industries by 07 September 2012

  • Each school can submit up to three applications.

Information sheet and application form are available here.
