Congratulations on being offered a place at The University of Queensland and welcome to the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology. UQ’s Bachelor of Engineering program is the leading engineering program in Queensland, and will provide you with a strong foundation for your future career.

In order for you to navigate your way through selecting courses and enrolling at UQ, the Faculty has compiled some helpful resources and links to get you started. I recommend that you work through the First Year Engineering Program Guide and enter the orientation events in your calendar. It would be beneficial for you to attend an Advice Seminar before semester to assist you to plan your studies.

I encourage you to attend the Engineering Welcome Session. At the session you will be introduced to key Engineering staff and your fellow students, and you learn important information about your program. Please refer to either the Orientation Planner or the First Year Engineering Program Guide for session details. 

Should you require any advice or assistance with your program please contact our friendly staff in either the First Year Engineering Learning Centre or in the Faculty Office. Both offices are in the Hawken Engineering Building on level 2. 

A recognised and valued degree worldwide, the UQ Engineering program has been specially developed to combine theory and practice, hard work and fun.
